Biography

Sara Gagliardi is the Colorado State Representative from Arvada, representing House District 27. She is Vice-Chair of two committees, the Health & Human Services Committee and the Business Affairs Committee.

Rep. Gagliardi has been involved in public service and politics for the past 25 years.  She began knocking on doors through the guidance of former Colorado State Senator Martha Ezzard.  Together, they petitioned the extradition of convicted murderer Daniel Arevalo.  Rep. Gagliardi’s work with Senator Ezzard strengthened child abuse laws in Colorado.

Sara Gagliardi has served on the Accountability Committees at Vanderhoof Elementary School and Drake Middle School, and is currently serving on the Committee at Arvada West High School.  She is the treasurer of the Arvada Northwest Business and Professional Women's Group and is an active member in the League of Women Voters, the Jefferson County Democrats, and the Arvada Chamber of Commerce.  She also teaches at Spirit of Christ Community Church in Arvada.

Rep. Gagliardi is a licensed practical nurse and has worked in surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and trauma.  She currently works as a nurse in dermatology.  She has been married to Jack Gagliardi, a Colorado native, for 20 years.  They have three sons.
